Natasha Burrell

Health Literacy Program Manager, ASU Learning Enterprise

I’m a health professional with a degree in nutritional sciences from the University of Arizona. I’ve worked as a community health educator and registered dietitian nutritionist all around Phoenix. I’m currently getting a master’s degree in healthcare innovation. I’ve created many health education experiences both online and in-person, as I’m passionate about improving health literacy and health outcomes.

Mia Armstrong-López

Managing Editor, ASU Media Enterprise

I’m a journalist from northern Arizona, with dual degrees in global studies and journalism from ASU. My own work has been published in The New York Times, Slate, Narratively, the Marshall Project, NPR, The Arizona Republic, Letras Libres, Nexos, and Reforma, and I’ve edited content for outlets including Slate, Zócalo Public Square, and Issues in Science and Technology. I have a special interest in mental health and women’s health, and much of my own reporting and writing focuses on contraception. I am a Flinn Foundation scholar and a Fulbright grantee, and I’m fluent in Spanish.

Mel Moore

Health Communication Assistant, Doing Well, ASU Media Enterprise

I am an undergraduate student at ASU’s Barrett, The Honors College majoring in civic and economic thought and leadership and global health. I’m also part of the Medallion Scholarship Program, which focuses on service to the community. I hope to have a career in health policy in which I can improve access to reliable and quality healthcare. I have special experience on the patient side of our healthcare system, in cancer and autoimmune disease treatment. Because of my own experiences, I wish to inform future patients with the data and skills they need to feel confident in their own healthcare.

Kitana Ford

Health Communication Assistant, Doing Well, ASU Media Enterprise

I am an undergraduate student at ASU’s Barrett, The Honors College, majoring in biochemistry with a minor anthropology and a certificate in evolutionary medicine. Following graduation, I plan to continue my education at ASU, and pursue a master’s degree. While my goal is to become a pediatric specialist, I also hope to hold a position writing for a science and technology journal. Writing has always been a part of me, and I intend to inform readers and provide them with the truth amidst misinformation.

I am an undergraduate student at ASU’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts, majoring in animation. Following graduation, I plan to acquire a master’s degree in extended reality technology and animation. I hope to have a career in health illustration and animation in the medical sector. I have always had a passion for communicating complex ideas visually; I live to storytell and aspire to inform readers with the art I create. Most importantly, I want to leave positivity in this world through happy, informative imagery and bold colors.
